A: My love for cooking started the day I entered M.M Washington CHS in 2000. That’s where I discovered my passion for creating delicious dishes and bringing joy to others through food.

Q: Could you walk us through a typical day in your life as a chef?
A: Sure! I start my day by getting up in the morning, waking the kids up, and then diving into food prep. I do lots of grocery shopping to ensure I have everything I need for the day ahead. Throughout the day, I work on putting together creative meal ideas and selling them to my loyal customers. There’s a lot of hustle and bustle, but seeing my customers happy makes it all worthwhile.

Q: What can customers expect from your meals at Jerk Only?
A: My meals vary, drawing inspiration from traditional Caribbean cuisine as well as a fusion of different cultural dishes. I want my customers to always expect consistently flavorful food and to know that each meal will be a wonderful food experience. It’s not just about eating; it’s about enjoying and savoring every bite.

Q: What is your ultimate goal as a chef?
A: My ultimate goal is to reach the masses and share my love for cooking with as many people as possible. I also aspire to open my first fusion Caribbean restaurant, where I can continue to delight customers with my culinary creations.

Q: Do you have a favorite food?
A: My palate varies, so I don’t have a favorite food per se. However, when asked, my mother’s collard greens come to mind. She inspired me to cook at a young age, and her dishes hold a special place in my heart.
