Living in the suburbs can be hard for the night owl. Usually we need to be in cities that don’t sleep but we find our way. Friends, fun, and most importantly food are become more difficult to find during the late night. But don’t trip, we made an hour by hour guide to the grub.
9 PM: Il Forno
Il Forno Pizzeria, home of the beloved Alla Fiorentina. What is the Alla Fiorentina you ask? A decadent pizza with mozzarella, ricotta cheese, fresh spinach and garlic toppings – the best! By popular demand and conveniently found on the west side, Il Forno is a staple in the city.
Applebee’s Grill + Bar
Follow these instructions: Go to Applebee’s. Head to the bar. And ask for the $1 Drink of the Month. A perfect place for best friend meet ups, group gatherings, and cheap drinks! You can’t beat that!
10 PM: Buffalo Wild Wings
Flat or Drum? Where are the wing enthusiasts? Wings should always be on the menu and always available. And now, they are! Opened until midnight on Fridays and Saturdays.
WingStop
Need other options? No problem. Wing Stop is another option to satisfy your wing and wingette cravings. Located in Westridge Square on the Golden Mile, it can be a pit stop on the way home.
Pizza Hut
A reliable, household name and national brand that delivers, no pun intended. In desperate times, we call an order a pizza. Right? And the Hut always has deals and slices on sale – can’t go wrong.
11 PM: Mountain View Diner
One of the Golden Mile’s oldest and most trusted restaurants, Mountain View Diner is always filled to capacity on Sundays for families, after-church fellowship, and good eating. But don’t forget it’s open every day of the week too!
Glory Days
Glory Days Grill is a sports-themed American bar with traditional menu that all would love. Order your burgers, ribs, wings, and sandwiches for comfort, get a drink, and enjoy the atmosphere. Both restaurants are open until midnight on weekends.
Open until 1 a.m. everyday, Fridays is communal place to watch your favorite game, get a drink, and most importantly, grab some grub. And nope, you don’t have to wait until Friday!
Silver Diner
When Silver Diner came to town in 2015, we were all excited for its vintage vibes, large menu selections, and drinks! It’s like you’ve stepped into your favorite Grease scene. Silver Diner is open until 1 a.m. on weekends.
1 AM: Taco Bell
You can ring this bell almost all night long! Who doesn’t want a Cheesy Gordita Crunch™ in the middle of the night? And open until 3 a.m.? It’s a life saver.
2 AM: Pretzel & Pizza Creations
Ah, the infamous Pretzel & Pizza Creations, where the downtown drunks go to sober up after bar hopping from Brewer’s to Old Towne to the Cellar Door. Order your pizza slice until 3 a.m. on a Saturday night and fill that belly.
3 AM: McDonald’s
Old faithful, are we right? We can always count on McDonald’s to be available on a late night on our scrounge for food right? Yes. Thankfully, we have more than one location that is open 24 hours.
Sheetz
Those of us in Frederick brag about Sheetz as if it is special power other counties do not possess. And well, we’re right. Sheetz is the God of convenience stores. Its food selections are unmatched (at one point, they were selling top-tier chicken wings. Wow!) And the best part, it’s open 24/7.
4 AM: iHop, Denny’s, and Waffle House
Oh, the breakfast brigade! Between the 3 popular chains, you can’t go wrong finding meals for any time of the day. All open everyday around the clock, it is a go-to for a warm plate.
