‘Sky Is the Limit’ Kids’ Art Installation by Each 1 Teach 1

All month long, on display in the Community Art Gallery of the Delaplaine Arts Center, is “The Sky Is the Limit” by Each 1 Teach 1, Inc.

“Kites are light and free. We want every child to feel that way as they use their imagination to bring an image to life and watch it FLY!

We created beautiful pieces, helped them express their creative ideas, feelings, and emotions through art!” – Danica Warden, Founder

It is a Mindful Art project painted by Frederick County kids. The creators hand-painted 100 kites during a 6-month process with curator Cynthia Scott-Johnson of Gaslight Gallery in downtown Frederick. She hosted numerous kite painting sessions with youth within the Frederick community that provided them an opportunity to utilize art as expression. Each 1 Teach 1, Inc. funded the project through the Frederick Arts Council National Endowment of the Arts grant.

The exhibit is on display through June 25th at the Delaplaine Art Center. When you visit, snap some shots of your favorite pieces and tag #e1t1fredco #theskyisthelimitE1T1 to share with the community and spotlight young, local artists.
