1. Hella Izim – Iodine P.

For the second year in a row, Iodine P. takes the top spot! His video to “Hella Izim,” a track produced by Ceez, has kaleidoscopic special effects that only the rapper could personally choose — Iodine P. signature. The visual has unique colors, high contrast, soft focus and dark vignettes at different speeds and angles. Iodine P. translates his crazy imagination to real life and has De’Von Wellesley, better known as @influencedbynightmares to help. He allows us into his world and takes us along for the ride.

 

​2. Pocket Check – Stitch EARLY

Stitch released a self-written storyline through the “Pocket Check” video. The in-depth narrative is a full production about a bank robbery. Directed by Christian Taylor, the video explores the root of money and how we are in proximity to its value, existence, and meaning. It’s such a well-executed masterpiece. Stitch’s connections in the city grant him access to places and spaces the general public can only dream of. We still wanna know how he pulled this off!

3. No More – Paris Price

Paris Price’s “No More” was not your typical rap video. Directed by Ahzay, this visual speaks to the influence of social media on our generation. In the video, Paris is hypnotized by the imagery projected by current successful artists. By video’s end, he is ready to make the ultimate sacrifice in order to follow their blueprint. The story delivers one of today’s most powerful messages in a way we can all relate to.

4. Anf – Dark Road (feat. Euro Gotit)

“Dark Road” is a single from album, Who Am I, featuring Euro Gotit, an Atlanta artist. The crisp visuals focused on the duo with cool transitions. Directed by Atlanta filmmaker @skinnyeatinn, this was the most well-received Anf video of the year.

5. Gritty (Ooh Yeah) – Jase Kevion

Filmed right on Hillcrest by Verse Vision Shoot is Jase Kevion’s “Gritty (Ooh Yeah)” featuring rapper Rocease. It was one of Jase’s most popular visuals of the year. This video was a promotion for the Gritty Boy Collection, a clothing line that inspired Kevion’s project, The Gritty Way; the rapper and his boys can be seen sporting the gear. The song was dope, the video was even more dope.
