Wednesday’s drop for Music Video Week is daMOOD’s “Cupid. Bang Bang!”
Directed by Mirror Room Media, “Cupid. Bang Bang!” depicts quite the visual
love story. The video begins in monochrome frames that transition to color as the viewers follow Ricole, lead vocalist and rapper, walking downtown. As he begins to spit, he is seen being tracked by an adaptation of Cupid. With casual scenes of him hanging out with his friends and going to outings, Ricole is obliviously being closely watched and often confused by Cupid’s imaginary interference.
Always missing the bang bang of Cupid’s bow and arrow by happenstance, the rapper finally catches Cupid in an alleyway and brings the suspenseful cat and mouse game to an end. Ricole and his friends ultimately jump Cupid while remaining members of the DaMOOD’s are seen picking up instruments.
