FOOD REVIEW: Padmini’s Curry Grill

Curry you say?

I first stumbled upon Padmini’s when I started working near the Westview Plaza last year. I’ve always been a fan of curry, but a picky one. Caribbean curry is one of my favorite dishes but Indian curry is a completely different experience. It’s made with distinct spices and flavors that evoke a rich cultural heritage and culinary tradition. Padmini’s Curry Grill promised an authentic taste of Indian cuisine, and I was eager to see if it lived up to the hype. Upon entering the restaurant, I was greeted by the enticing aroma of spices wafting from the kitchen—a promising sign of the culinary delights that awaited. With high expectations and a hungry appetite, I embarked on my culinary journey at Padmini’s.

As I perused the menu, I found a variety of curry options available, ranging from classic favorites like chicken tikka masala to more adventurous dishes like lamb vindaloo. After much thought, I chose the butter chicken, a beloved staple of Indian cuisine known for its creamy tomato-based sauce and tender chunks of chicken — now it’s my daily lunch selection. Each bite was flavorful, with the sauce perfectly complementing the chicken. Paired with basmati rice and naan bread, it was a satisfying meal.

I also tried some of Padmini’s other specialties, including the vegetable biryani and the paneer tikka masala. Each dish was well-prepared, with delicious flavors. Overall, my experience at Padmini’s Curry Grill was exceptional. From the friendly service to the tasty food, it was a memorable dining experience. Whether you’re a fan of curry or looking to try something new, I recommend checking out Padmini’s.
