The Record Exchange Return

The popular records store rebuilds. Last year, The Record Exchange of downtown Frederick suffered a devastating fire. Today, it steadily restocks its shelves.

Selling the city’s largest array of vinyl records, CDs, and cassette tapes, the family-owned business is a staple in the local community. Patrons can be seen commenting and loving the posts the business posts documenting its road to re-opened doors in droves.

Record Exchange received the same love out-pour when it was forced to close after its brick and mortar went up in flames a year prior. Frederick residents were grief-stricken, eagerly awaiting and hoping for a happy ending. And shelf by shelf, it is.

Excited for Record Exchange to re-open? Check ’em out here.

From the Record Exchange owners:

A HUGE thank you to everyone who came out yesterday for our opening day❤️❤️ WOW, what a day, better than our wildest dreams. We learned a lot about the flow of the store and quickly realized we need two ring up stations. Also a massive thank you to Dani & Mark from @backtothemedia for donating their Saturday away from their shop and kids to come help us ❤️❤️❤️, couldn’t have done it without you 🙏. We look forward to keeping you all updated as we install new bins, put up our amazing @stephen_blickenstaff sign, but most of all increase our inventory with killer vinyl, CD’s, cassettes, collectible movies, vintage video game, stereo equipment, T-shirts, local art, and so much more. Damn, it feels good to be back ❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️
